i didn't know that about the radar. but doesn't surprise me.
i liked that series as well. him and asimov had a nice terse style of writing that i enjoy. bradbury too, come to think of it...something about that generation of writers...

pity. the guy seemed very near immortal.
amazing mind. funny he is remembered for 2001/odyssey than for conceiving geostationary communication satellites.
Jump, and he helped to develop radar during WW II.
Personally, i always liked the Rama series more than 2001..

I like that second quote.
The first one is nice too.
The third one is rather weak.
