In Australia, we tend to think of green building as ‘high tech’ and ‘high spec.’ However, if we take a look at ancient Roman structures, it is clear that green building was on display even then, and without all of the high tech innovations we have available to us in the 21st century. — DesignBuild Source

Ha.
The first photo is the main Vancouver Public Library. Just kidding. However, the peeled back partial oval harkens to the Colosseum and almost everyone is aware of that relationship.
The Trevi Fountain is cool. And all the while you are there, the edifice is presumably just another bureaucratic office building, so it's like a movie set.

I remember that from taking a course in Renaissance history. Either the book or the prof told us this, to deflect any thinking that there might be a worthwhile palace or mansion tour lying in the edifice beyond the fountain. And I did what I wasn't supposed to do: tossed a coin into the damn fountain, and I wound up there the following summer. My parents told me to quit tossing coins into the Trevi fountain.
Don't schools make students read "Vitruvius" during their first year anymore? I'm guessing its more 'Parametric Design' crap.
We learned the Vitruvian principles during the first term.
not sure that that type of article is worth reading or arguing about,,.
(insert somewhat relevant and more entertaining link here, please, somebody, god help us all)
