burn baby burn!!!!
why is that terrorism and not just arson? Is it that they have a cause? Random violence committed with the purpose of inspiring fear in a populace is terrorism. This is more like direct action against a declared enemy.
regardless of if its arson or terrorism, it does nothing to further the cause of sustainable policy or design. note to arsonists: don't make the rest of us seem as shortsighted and crazy as you.
So what's better for the environment?
A. Building a McMansion.
B. Build a McMansion. Burn it to the ground. Throw remnants away. Build a second McMansion in its place.
Something tells me its not B.
Hello idiots. Burning something down has only the itsy-est bit of a chance of bettering the environment if you can be absolutely sure they aren't just going to build something just like it in its place.
Do you want to do some real eco-terrorism? Make yourself the majority of the zoning board and make everyone have green roofs and greywater. Otherwise your just a rent-a-cop/pyro wannabe with longings for a hippie girlfriend.
i want a hippie girlfriend.
Which is less green, to build a McMansion and burn it down, or use it?
come on people.......the burning of the mansions is supposed to be symbolic and bring attention to the cause of Green building and sustainability.......which it did.......on CNN.......which gets viewer all over the world. Having said that I don't necessarily agree with this method as it casts a bad light on something that's supposed to be a good thing. For this reason, I don't agree with these methods. It does, however, make all warm inside when I see something like this happen though because it makes developers question what may happen to them and their ugly McMansions if they stay in the dark ages and don't accept green building as the standard.
