after last week’s post on the future of suburbia, barry lehrman sparks another interesting discussion, this time regarding disaster urbanism.

this week sort of starts the arrival of admissions envelopes, phone calls and emails. those who applied to cooper have their very own bonding places here and here. best of luck to all and remember to commiserate here. guys, i see you’ve discovered the grad café. that place is dangerous and it will seriously mess with your head, visit at your own risk.
also, i might as well say it here, last week i got a good email from here and on this tuesday i got a good call from this institution. believe, i’m very happy, just still in a bit of a shock.

laru brings us great news on the buckhead library front!! if you haven’t already, please consider signing the petition here.

the open architecture challenge ends. i wish I had submitted something! also, is real estate the future? more and more, some battles over urban space seem to suggest so. rfuller agrees.
finally, to end with a bit of shameless self-promotion, consider picking up the winter issue of log.
