The Olympic organizing committee held the first test competition, the “good luck Beijing 2008 China Swimming Open”
between 1st-4th February.
The building, designed by a consortium of PTW/CCDI/ARUP has already become the favourite of the Chinese public, due to its unusual design in shape of a box of bubbles.

This building looks fantastic.
but read this:
Otylia Jedrzejczak, the only gold medallist from the Athens Games competing in the low-key China Open - the inaugural event at the venue says "I think it's too hot in the pool, and too hot in the changing room," the Pole said. "The rest is OK."
this building makes me smile!
however, the exterior is so striking visually, that i can't help but be a bit underwhelmed by the interior spaces;
then again, i haven't actually been there;
