The building has some intrigue in the night shot, but I must be the only architect in the world who does not find this form to be at all interesting in its context. Maybe the concept and the interior will blow me away? Sorry to be a cynic. :( I also can't say I find the museum thing they did (the boxes within the circle... blanking on the name/location) at all compelling. Maybe I just really need to visit these buildings. I will reserve judgment till then.
But from these exterior shots, I think I must be missing the point.
It's a fresh breath to see this clean and meditative building when passing down the congestions of Bowery St. The surface is so pristine the photographs don't do justice. The form of the building erriely speaks of a faint memory of the setback laws of New York City.
I'm also amazed by how these architects really built exactly what was shown in the rendering, unlike a lot of others.
