The State Department asked architects to remove detailed plans for the new U.S. Embassy under construction in Baghdad, which was appeared online worldwide, in a breach of the tight security surrounding the sensitive project. It still is a top news item in Archinect, but the enthusiastic web site of Berger Devine Yaeger Inc. is forbidden at this time. News + Archinect discussion, and, analytical photomontage by yours truly.

can you see the helicopters yet?
Did anyone save the images? Are they available anywhere else online?
These mediocre renderings have put hundreds of American lives at stake. One look at these drawings, and a terrorist could precisely detect the unique vulnerabilities of the building, such as the very presence of windows and doors. It is an insult to us all that these architects' misuse of top-secret perspective rendering technology for their shameless self-promotion is more important than the security of our carpetbagging diplomats.
has anyone seen Bryan Finoki since the State Dept. missive?
haven't found any of the others...
Cameron,
Bryan is safely being held in our top secret stronghold here. he had to be evac-ed from SF because of the massive government search underway for him there. we figured one of his accomplices would inevitably give up his position under questioning and had to extricate him quickly to an undisclosed location with people who he didn't even realize he knew
Maybe if the people who live/work there know the plans are public knowledge, they'll work a little harder at doing the communication and diplomacy efforts that are likely to keep bombs from being targeted at their bedrooms.
Oh, sorry, I was living in Dreamland there for a minute...
Orhan, I hope that photomontage doesn't get you a free CIA dossier!
duh.
lb, i wish they would. it would translate to charging more per photomontage and more per word of posting, never mind the talk show invitations and paid interviews, and aia offering free membership to me, for shutting the fuck up.;.)
