The way in which the canopy thins towards the edges is a trick that Nouvel already used in the Luzern Concert Hall. It is very effective. You get a kind of sci-fi impression of a strange and abstract square hovering over the building.
saw it last year in June and November and was quite impressed. Building manages to make it's statement quite effectively without offending the surrounding context. It was still under construction (skin not really all on), and I hope the final product is not shit (doubt it)
