Seaside is a charming place--kinda like visiting your past when you were in love with the girl next door. Water Color, truly next door, is a bit like an older brother who thinks they have life figured out at age 18. Rosemary, down the way is like the snobbish sister of your best friend.
New Urbanists do seem a bit cult-like. Though, without these tests of their principles, what would we have to compare against? Seaside, as a vacation community, left a lasting impression during my visit last year.

"The latest addition to Seaside gives the impression of a fragment of an Italian town, shoehorned into Nantucket"
did you see me shudder?
hold on.
did you see it that time?
That building to the right of the Stern house in slide #5 looks far more interesting than the Stern project.

Interesting within the realm of the Seaside vernacular, that is.
And I'll admit: I like the Seaside Chapel (by Merrill, Pastor, and Colgin, appaerently)
