"The internationally-renowned director Wim Wenders devotes his new film to Graubünden architect Peter Zumthor. Work on the project will take several years to complete. A taste of the film will be available August at the Venice Biennale." — Suedostschweiz
ok - the translation's mine (and my german suspect) but apparently wim wenders is doing a long term documentary on zumthor's work. the primary gist of the movie will be to document - fully - one of his projects from sketch to completion. this could either be brilliant or maddeningly overdone....

i'll watch (and love) any film by wenders - self-indulgent or not.
Wenders is sharp. I like his films too, especially his documentaries. He used to dress in all black ala architect Liebskin which i think is funny now in retrospect. Last I heard he moved out of LA about 4-5 hears ago.
Has anyone seen Tokyo-Ga? . That one stayed with me..

best compliment i ever received..."you look like one of the angels from Wings of Desire."
Wim Wender's studio has responded to us about this news, indicating that it is not accurate. Read the correction here.
Wim Wender's studio may not be making a lengthy documentary about Zumthor; however, Michael Blackwood Productions has released one entitled The Practice of Architecture: Visiting Peter Zumthor within the last year.
