Only six weeks ago, Taschen opened its first flagship store in New York. Ok. Let’s not take it too far guys. The way the concrete floor meet the bookshelves is beautiful...the books inside them…well that’s a different story. Lots of pretty pictures and oversized, overpriced books. If you want to make a difference, try to buy from the small bookshops that are quickly disappearing in the area, and for which that extra 20% makes sense. (ie: Untitled on Prince and Broadway a sad story)
