I found the comment “Approving this design proposal would be like the philharmonic inviting a heavy-metal punk rocker to join the orchestra” – hilarious! Reminds me of the 2006 Boston Fourth of July Esplanade festivities where the Boston Pops played with Steven Tyler. My recollection is that the performance kicked butt. Sometimes the Yin and Yang work, sometimes they don't.
Not to make light of the subject, but I appreciate and understand neighborhood concern. Richard Meier is one of the advocates for the design and it will be interesting to see who wins.
