An exploration of Neurath's ideas on visual media, universal knowledge systems and the modern metropolis. — Press Announcement
I was excited to receive a press release (for once, a vital press release!) announcing the paperback publication of Nader Vossoughian's book on Otto Neurath, a seminal influence on collectivist urbanism and social practice in design. This book follows Nader's exquisite show The Global Polis: Interactive Infrastructures in 2009 at the Center for Architecture, NYC. Though Neurath is not often remembered in affinity with architecture and urbanism, his influence is still felt today in the work of socially and collectively-minded practices in architecture, planning, and design. Check out the press release to download a PDF preview of the book. | See also this clip of Nader on the exhibit at Stroom Den Haag.
