"Every time I reach a Starbucks I feel like I've accomplished something," Winter said, "when actually I have accomplished nothing." As of Aug. 8, Winter had visited 4,775 Starbucks in North America and 213 in other parts of world. And Bill Tangeman has managed to join him for a few to film his documentary about Winter's mission of visiting every Starbucks on the planet. AP | (via)

That's pretty big goal. Here in Seattle there's a bus driver who includes Starbucks when he announces destinations for each spot:
"Spring & Seneca - Seattle Public Library, Courthouse, Starbucks"
"University & Union - Seattle Art Museum, Benaroya Hall, Post Office, Starbucks"
"Pike & Pine - Pike Place Market, Westlake Center, Macy's, Nordstom, Starbucks"
I expect this guy will have to spend at least a month in Seattle. It's sad.
Not only that, Starbucks is opening around 3 stores per day (if I remember correctly). This would not be a problem if they were all in a row, but they are all over the planet. Therefore, every day that goes bye he gets farther and farther away from his goal.
is this a commerical for starbucks?
