I found this article to be EXTREMELY sympathetic. I have been working since 1998 on a sort of parallel track trying to sort out the subliminal factors in the architecture of King's, Cambridge and what it is that makes that place such a sympathetic place to live & study.
(anybody out there bored enough to want to know my spin on this subject, got to my homepage and click on 'Essays on Architecture' then download 'This Haunted Earth'. I say this only because there is a bit of convergence between my views and those expressed in the SF Gate article. thanks)
