Fabrica, Benetton's communication research centre in Italy, has launched a competition for designers, architects, sculptors and artists. The competition is for a new use for the Lebanese cedar tree that the centre was created around by architect Tadao Ando. The tree, which has died, cannot be uprooted, amd thus must be transformed into a sculpture. The jury to judge the winning proposal will be chaired by Ando.
