Get lectured continues today with a look at the going-on this semester for students and faculty at the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo College of Architecture and Environmental Design in the Winter 2025 academic term.
The school shares: "The 2024/25 Hearst Lectures is a series of discussions with designers, activists and professionals of the built environment whose work interrogate ecological, societal and material crisis. URGENCIES is a project that was organized to motivate conversations across the five CAED departments: Architecture, City and Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architectural Engineering and Construction Management."
Guest speakers for the term include Lola Ben-Alon, the director of the Natural Materials Lab at Columbia GSAPP (January 17); Mireia Luzárraga, the founder and principal of TAKK (January 24); David Benjamin, Founding Principal of The Living (January 31); and distinguished multihyphenate author and academic Mabel O. Wilson on February 21.
