The semester has begun for students and faculty at the School of Architecture & Design at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). Here’s a comprehensive look at the activities on tap for the Fall as part of our ongoing event highlights at Archinect Partner Schools in the new academic year.
Events begin with Design Intelligence: "The Leadership Summit on the Business of Design: The Future of Talent, Organizations, & Leadership," which takes place over two days from October 7th to 8th. Following is the two-day NYC Biennial 2024 kickoff event, "Architectural Intersections," from October 17th to the 19th. The following week, the school will be hosting a book launch for Evan Shieh’s Autonomous Urbanism on October 23rd at 5:30 pm. A guest lecture from Anna Dyson will close the month on October 30th.
Next, the "Atypical Architectures Symposium: Design for Neurodiversity and Inclusion" will be held on November 7th beginning at 1:00 pm.
A must-attend follows the symposium to close the semester when Long Island’s Campani and Schwarting Architects visits for a November 13th book launch recapping their work on the formerly NYIT-owned Aluminaire House, which was successfully re-installed at the Palm Springs Art Museum earlier this year.
Each event takes place at 16 West 61st Street, 11th Floor Auditorium, unless noted otherwise.
Be sure to follow our Get Lectured series for more events hosted by architecture schools. If your school is hosting a lecture, open house, or other exciting event, you can submit it directly here.
