The Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University has shared its Fall speakers and events information as part of our look at what our Archinect Partner Schools have planned in the first half of the 2024-25 year.

Heather Davis begins the term with the first Critical Dialogue series presentation, a look at her new title Plastic Matter on September 17th. FIFTEEN Architecture + Design’s Katrina Connors and Ximena Valle will follow with a September 18th presentation titled ‘The Time is Now’ before the ‘Spatial Practice Within Contested Geographies’ forum closes the week on September 19th at 6:00 pm.

Eric Höweler of Höweler + Yoon kicks off October’s programming with his presentation on the application of Verify in Field methods to a broader cultural context on October 2nd beginning at 4:00 pm. This precedes the 2024 Robert Z. Shuman Lecture from Class of 1998 BArch graduate Masafumi Yukimoto of Komy Studio on October 23rd at 4:00 pm. October includes a Design and Illustration Speaker Series event with Steve Perry on October 22nd, followed by a talk from AED’s Blossom Bartram on November 6th about reimagining neighborhood choice in Southwest Philadelphia. The Tyler School notes that each in-person speaking event can also be accessed over Zoom.
