AECOM has announced that it has been awarded a multi-year contract to provide project management consultancy services for the NEOM International Airport in Saudi Arabia.
The firm will offer support towards master planning, design, and construction services as well as testing, commissioning, operational readiness, activation, and transition. AECOM has been present throughout NEOM’s development so far. In 2019, the firm won a project management contract for the development of NEOM Bay.
Additionally, in more recent news, it was announced that British engineering consultancy Atkins had been enlisted as a strategic Delivery Partner for The Line, the complicated linear city concept that aims to be the centerpiece of the NEOM megaproject.
“We are very pleased to be part of this innovative NEOM project, which is set to transform travel between NEOM and the world,” said AECOM’s president Lara Poloni. “Our track record delivering large scale infrastructure projects in the region, as well as our mobilized global aviation resources and project management experts will help ensure the successful delivery of NIA.”

Shocker! The same super principled firm that hired Muammar Gaddafi's son as an intern?
That's how it is the Middle East. Buying designs from game developers, set designers, artists, rappers and then bidding it out to conglomerates like AECOM, Hyundai etc.
Utterly shameless that the pursuit of lucrative contracts supersedes morality, ethics, mindful climate sensitive and sustainable development.
Wait, you expected better from AECOM?
Wait, you expected better from Saudi-Arabia? The words morality, ethics, climate sensitivity and sustainable developments do not exist within their borders let alone within their massive masturbation projects.
So will the security guards be called rent-a-morality-cops?
so, the airport is not in the line? I thought this was to avoid sprawl in the desert and reduce co2? funny how all these last-solution-ever keep using old schemes because no one can deliver their stupid utopias. It's going to end up as giant mall in the desert.
