The National Building Museum has announced that Brent D. Glass, Director Emeritus of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, will serve as the institution's Interim Executive Director.
Glass takes up the interim position after former Executive Director Chase W. Rynd, Hon. ASLA, departed the museum in June. In an announcement highlighting Glass's selection, the Building Museum announced that Rynd has been elevated to Executive Director Emeritus.
Rynd served as the museum's director for 17 years, the longest tenure for a director of the institution. The Museum has already begun its recruitment process for a new permanent Executive Director and plans to complete the search by the end of this year, according to a press release.
