The Ohio State University seeks a Christos Yessios Digital Fabrication Associate or Full Professor of Architecture

The University of Hong Kong seeks a Tenure-Track Assistant in Fabrication Laboratory Robotics

The University of Texas at Arlington seeks Tenure Track Faculty

The College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs (CAPPA) at the University of Texas at Arlington seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in Architecture to be hired for Fall of 2020 at the rank of assistant professor. For this position, we seek applicants with a focus on design-build. An additional interest in community engagement is encouraged. The faculty member in this position will provide leadership of CAPPA’s fast-growing design-build program within its School of Architecture and will assist in the development of the UTA Community Design Center.
Columbia University offers an Architecture Technology Faculty Position
Location: New York, NY
GSAPP is especially interested in candidates who have the ability not only to shape pedagogy and teach core courses in the architecture technology sequence but also to formulate and guide innovative research in areas such as building science and sustainable systems, with particular expertise in energy and carbon footprint as they relate to architecture. Expertise in building materials and embodied energy is also desirable. The successful candidate will hold a leadership role in conceptualizing, developing, and administering the architecture technology curriculum and in integrating it with the larger curricular goals of the architecture programs. Candidates in all ranks and categories must have demonstrated capacity for original work and have strong leadership and communication skills.
Indiana University Bloomington seeks a Visiting Lecturer in Comprehensive Design

The school seeks a forward-thinking colleague who is committed to interdisciplinary engagement and exploration of the convergence of the areas of Design, Art, Architecture, and Merchandising. This will be a one-year appointment, which may be extended for one additional year. Continuation of the appointment is based on effective performance of assigned duties, school funding, and continuation of programmatic needs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to educate emerging leaders in interior design. University of Michigan seeks a Director of Admissions and Recruiting

The university is searching for an experienced, results-oriented, data-driven director of admissions and recruiting to implement a sophisticated, integrated, analytically informed, and collaborative approach to college-wide enrollment. University of Michigan seeks a Director of Research and Creative Practice Development

University of Oregon offers a Visiting Faculty Fellowship in Design for Spatial Justice

The University of Oregon in Eugene and Portland, Oregon invites applications for Visiting Faculty Fellowships in Design for Spatial Justice at the rank of assistant, associate, full, or distinguished visiting professor or professor of practice in the areas of architecture, landscape architecture, interior architecture and historic preservation in the School of Architecture and Environment in the College of Design. The institution will award up to six faculty fellowships in design/research and teaching for durations of two terms to three years, to start as early as September 2020. The university is interested in candidates who will teach innovative design studios, subject area courses, and seminar courses in any of the following areas: interior environments, accessibility, media, design processes, architectural technology, cultural heritage and heritage conservation, inclusive urbanism, feminist spatial practice, design computation, integrated design, ecological justice, climate change resilience, habitats/housing, human-centered design, urbanism and/or land use, and materials and methods.
The New School seeks a Space Planner
Location: New York, NY
The idea candidate will maintain a complete and up-to-date data base of plans and room attributes for the entire University space inventory. Prepare and present space use statistics, customized analysis, floor plans and space data in graphic formats, evaluate the necessity and feasibility of requests for internal moves, furnishings and equipment. They will also prepare drawings, graphs, photographs and other applicable materials to test the fit of proposed moves, reconfigurations and furnishing and to illustrate planning objectives and options. Architectural degree and experience preferred. Higher education in space planning experience is preferred.
University of Arkansas seeks an Assistant Professor in Interior Design
Location: Fayetteville, AR
The idea candidate will be teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, pursuing peer-reviewed scholarly and creative inquiry, and providing service to the department, school, university, and community are foundational expectations. The standard tenure-track faculty workload is 65% teaching, 25% research, scholarship or creative activity and 10% service. The typical tenure-track faculty teaching assignment is one studio and one lecture/seminar per semester. This Assistant Professor will lead studio and classroom instruction, create curriculum material, construct syllabi, assess student knowledge and skills, advise students, and provide other scholastic achievement guidance.
University of Kentucky seeks a Lecturer in Product Design
Location: Lexington-Fayette, KY
The candidate will teach undergraduate courses in product design, including studios and accompanying courses such as colloquia, CAD, history, ergonomics, research, and technology. Further, successful candidates will mentor and advise undergraduate students, participate in ongoing committee membership and service assignments, and build bridges with programs internal and external to the College and with industry and community partners. The position commences on August 15, 2020 and includes an initial two-year contract. Appointment will be in the College of Design unit that most closely matches the candidate’s degree and experience.
