The University of Oregon (UO) College of Design in Eugene, Oregon is currently searching for a new dean.
According to a job listing hosted by the Association for Collegiate Schools of Architecture, the 1,800-student college is home to 1,300 undergraduates and 500 graduate students and offers degrees across three schools: Architecture & Environment; Planning, Public Policy, and Management; and Art + Design.

In 2018, Oregon architect Erin Moore was named as the new Head of the college's School of Architecture & Environment.
The college's School of Architecture & Environment recently unveiled four new fellows in Design for Spatial Justice that will focus on research situated at the "intersections of gender, race, ethnicity, indigeneity, sexuality, and economic inequality." The six fellows—Menna Agha, Priyanka Bista, Karen Kubey, Zannah Mae Matson, Craig Wilkins, and Cory Parker—will have a year to engage engage with their research topics at the university's Eugene and Portland campuses.
In addition, in 2019, UO partnered with Oregon State University and Michael Green Architecture to create the A.A. "Red" Emmerson Advanced Wood Products Laboratory, a 17,500-square-foot research and fabrication lab on OSU's Corvallis campus that will focus on the "advancement of structural wood products and mass timber design in constructing high-rise and other multistory buildings."
Applications for the position are being accepted through February 15, 2020.
