Please join Archinect and the Architecture + Design Museum on Saturday, December 7th at 2pm for History + Theory Education in LA's Schools of Architecture, a panel discussion investigating the current and future state of historical and theoretical approaches to architectural education. The panel discussion is presented in conjunction with The Los Angeles Schools exhibition, for which Archinect is serving as media partner.  

As climate collapse, equity-based social movements, and technological advances destabilize and recalibrate traditional architectural practice, how is architectural thinking coping?

A few questions to consider:

• What are the most important “historical questions” being engaged with (or not) in architecture academia today at LA institutions?
• How are contemporary social/political/environmental concerns shaping the development/cultivation of architectural theory?
• What is the current state of the architectural canon?
• How/are digital workflows impacting theories of design?

We hope to answer these questions, and more, with a panel of representatives from UCLA, SCI-Arc, USC, and Cal Poly Metro, including:
