The scale-ruler is as much a staple of architectural draftsmanship as the T-Square or vellum, and it potentially just got a significant redesign. Carlo Aiello, the founder of eVolo Magazine, recently published photos and a video of ESCALA, a 2-in-1 drawing tool combining the scale-ruler with an insertable fountain pen.
As of writing this article, 326 Kickstarter backers have invested $21,445 in the product, far exceeding its goal of $7,500.
I caved... signed up for one pen. Now I have a few months to decide what colour ink I'll use with it.

I'm very tempted to fund this.

I'm a slave to fountain pens...
I see, me too, but I like my montblanc clean, no scale ruler, thanks. I bought a rotring 600 when I graduated 25 years ago, used green ink, wonder where it went.
