Quickly becoming a must know name in the realm of furniture and design, Stockholm-based furniture brand Hem makes opens its first US showroom. In collaboration with Madera, the brand will be partnering with Endemic Architecture's founder and director Clark Thenhaus to design a site-specific installation. Thenhaus, most noted for his larger than life project Confetti Urbanism will take inspiration from his previous project to create Confetti Courtyard. This installation will showcase Thenhaus's knack for combining primitive forms and shapes with dynamic colors to create an unforgettable spatial experience.
Known for collaborating with innovative designers and brands, Hem embraces their new West Coast showroom with the colorful graphic work Thenhaus delivers. Hem's new headquarters will have the walls, floors, and other surfaces directly painted on, creating an immersive and interactive flow within the space. The space super sized confetti painted shapes that wrap in and around the showroom. Thenhaus and his team use the natural and playful effect confetti has as a material and translate it into a painted image to create a non-patterned arrangement of form and direction.
Located at 810 Mateo Street in Downtown Los Angeles, participate in Hem x Madera's grand showroom opening and witness Confetti Courtyard on January 17th, 2019.
