New renderings of Peter Zumthor's $600-million LACMA redesign were released. While some were enthusiastic, Orhan Ayyüce argued
"The institutional critique that is going around locally is much more interesting. In a way, it will be perfect with Peterson Museum and Piano's new movie museum next to it, an art Disney for gentrified people. After a few money shots, it will bury the Zumthor mystic with tar. As far as the existing buildings, they were buried with HHPA in 80's and some other Pianos this century."

go do it offered their compliments to the winning proposal by Krupinski/Krupinska Arkitekter in the open international competition for a new pavilion in the King´s Garden in central Copenhagen.
randomised thought it "A bit heavy on the symbolism...but love the spacing of the sticks...I personally prefer the pavilion from 2013" Some pointed out the project’s failure to meet accessibility guidelines and believed that even if only a folly/pavilion "there is a larger argument that as art, or even architecture, it should be accessible ... allowing as many people to experience it as they are able to. So, some off hand remark that there is a ramp seems to have missed the point on many levels."

But enforcement of it often goes against common sense." mightyaa provided some big picture/historical context "Everyone thinks permanently disabled. People get injured and need accommodations...Before ADA, people were fired if they couldn't perform their job due to a physical limitation...There were lawsuits about that stuff...ADA protects businesses as much as it does the disabled."
