Live Filming: Rad, Bad, and Sad (Talk Show) | December 4, recommended by Nicholas Korody
Materials & Applications is something of an LA-architecture institution. Right now, they have an interesting exhibit up in their courtyard space: "a contemporary update on the aesthetic principles of early 19th century English landscape architecture". Head over on Sunday night for some "bantering" on past exhibitions held at the space with Joseph Adam Dunn and Ben Warwas.
Enchanted: Forest of Light | Open now until January 8, 2017, recommended by Alexander Walter

Frontispiece from a circa 1518 copy of Utopia, part of the USC Libraries' Special Collections.
Since the term was first introduced around 500 years ago, the definition of, and search for, utopia has shifted with the tide of urbanist discourse. This exhibition from the USC Libraries puts the term's history on display, while taking care to also show "the fine line between utopia and dystopia."
