One of the best things about San Francisco are the Victorian houses that have somehow escaped the bulldozer of time. These building have unique, bulging corners known as "Victorian turrets." In this exhibit at Jai & Jai Gallery, the turret is reimagined in a series of drawings and models.
Women in Architecture #wikiD Writing Workshop | August 13, recommended by Alexander Walter
Who run the world? Girls, obv. But why is it that women's contributions to the fields of architecture and design are still so painfully underdocumented in the world's collective web memory, in particular Wikipedia? To further right this wrong, AWA+D and the Kappe Library at SCI-Arc are hosting this Women in Architecture #wikiD writing workshop, "a global campaign for improving and increasing Wikipedia articles pertaining to the lives and works of women in architecture and the built environment."
