Part II: Manifesto Series: In Our Time – The Sharing Movement | July 19, recommended by Nicholas Korody
The Manifesto Series is a two-part event that focuses on the so-called "sharing movement," which is "increasingly influencing the exchange of goods, data, images, services, and spaces of residence and work." With a great list of contributing participants, it's a night that should be edifying and engaging. Head down to the Storefront for Art and Architecture early to make sure you get a seat!
Urbanist Insider: + POOL | July 19, recommended by Justine Testado

Free for Urbanist Members.
Sharing Models: Manhattanisms | Open now until September 2, recommended by Paul Petrunia
This event opened last week at the Storefront for Art and Architecture, and somehow flew under our NYC weekly roundup radar. It's open until September 2nd, so it's not too late! Manhattanisms asks the question, "How will the sharing movement of today affect the way we inhabit and build the cities of tomorrow?" To answer this question, the exhibition invites 30 international architects to produce models of their own visions for the city’s future.
Artistic Furniture of the Gilded Age | Open now until January 31, 2017, recommended by Amelia Taylor-Hochberg

Schastey for the ruling train tycoons and oil barons of the day. Then grab some lunch and think about eating the rich.
