The Genesis-sized replica of Noah's Ark is just the beginning of Ark Encounter, Kentucky's new biblical theme park managed by the Christian apologist ministry, Answers in Genesis. Troyer Group are the architects behind the ark, with president and chair LeRoy Troyer as the lead architect.
I spoke with LeRoy about the challenge of building a project with Biblical construction specs, as well as the inherent controversy of designing something that is meant as a kind of proof of concept for Answers in Genesis' ideology: that the Bible "is the true history book of the universe".

Leroy, meet Al. Al, Leroy. You two have a lot in common.
Maybe he is just too much a professional and a "job is a job" but doesn't seem skeptical enough with regards to Biblical "science". Though fascinating interview from the trenches of architecture.
This mess will find itself next to the Tower of Babel, and the Longaberger Basket; both blaspheming structures.
Way to spread bullshit memes, austin tayshus.
I'm not sure why you thought that what you posted was even close to relevant, but, of course, it's a complete distortion. When Gore made the "prediction," you climate change deniers have latched onto, his sentence started with "some of the models suggest to Dr. Maslowski..." and ended with the researcher's estimate that arctic summers will be ice free by 2030.
And, hey, we've still got half of our polar ice, for now. What did it ever do for you anyway, right?
The Longaberger Basket is an excellent piece of architecture.
I hope he made $10 million on this stupid thing.
