The fascinating tension between two- & three-dimensionality is at the core of Flat Foldability, the first group exhibition at Harmony Murphy Gallery in Little Tokyo. The eleven participating artists resort to folding, tucking, cutting, and sequencing to maximize the dimensional potential of the well-calculated crease. Hurry, the exhibition ends June 11.
Don’t Look Back: The 1990s at MOCA | Open now until July 11, recommended by Amelia Taylor-Hochberg

Despite the mandate in the title, you can't help but look back at MOCA's collection of art from the 1990s, and see how much (and how little) has changed since. Tinged by nostalgia with a hint of clairvoyance, this exhibition is a great way to spend some quiet time. Artists on display include Catherine Opie, Cady Noland, Sarah Sze, and Paul McCarthy, among others.
Also keep track of our weekly event picks for New York City and London.
