Designers worldwide get to explore their own interpretations of what a skyscraper is in the annual eVolo Skyscraper Competition. The sky is indeed the limit for the competition, which gives participants complete freedom with their skyscraper designs. It seems like more of a science fiction/ rendering competition than it is an architecture competition.
The idea of separating central park from the rest of the urban fabric of new york seems careless. It's shocking, so that makes it great for a rendering and a competition, but otherwise it's lazy design. Since when is separating people from nature a good idea?
