To demonstrate an alternate application of their "parking assist" technology, Nissan has outfitted a herd of office chairs to find their own way back to their desks. With a single clap, the chairs swivel and move into position, like the obedient office drones that they are – watch below:
Of course, this technological application is not setting out to solve the controversial issue of runaway chairs. It's an example of how ubiquitous the tech for autonomous vehicles could become (or is becoming, as regulations slowly allow it onto the highway), and a way to familiarize consumers with its very idea at a smaller, more accessible scale.

Who needs basic reliable public transit when we can have clap-activated self-parking chairs?
Exactly. What we need here is to force everyone onto one long couch (once it shows up) and get rid of all those pesky chairs that each person can move to their liking. Problem solved!
I would definitely take a self-driving office chair from my home to my place of employment. It could go right along the canal path, with detours to the grocery store, where I'd put my purchases in a backpack strapped to the seat back. I love this idea!
Does it automatically reset the height of the seat and armrests too? What about returning all the used coffee cups to the sink and/or trash can?
Wonder if you can program them to race them around the office? You know develop a office speedway. It could be great Friday afternoon fun! That is after a couple of soda pops.
And for you Michigan Wolverine fans:
FINALLY! My sedentary lifestyle is complete
Good, it looks like his meeting with the Ghost Committee is over. We can use the conference room now.
(I don't know why I didn't see it the first time.)
