Frank Lloyd Wright stars in the newest episode of "The Experimenters", a mini interview series by Blank on Blank that gives a glimpse into the minds of iconic figures in science, technology, and innovation. Colorfully illustrated by animator Jennifer Yoo, this episode features snippets of an interview between Mike Wallace and a 90-year-old FLW in September 1957.
Blank on Blank found the interview in a collection at the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin celebrating The Mike Wallace Interview, a show that ran in the '50s. Wright is as sharp as ever with his words as he talks about the timeless topics of success, arrogance, the Nature of architecture, and his role as an architect.

This was really good. I can understand a little better why people immediately think all of us architects are huge egotists when I hear this.
Great interview, terrible animation. Better to listen and not watch.
On the NYC skyline:
Trying to substitute money for ideas ...
That was in 1957. Some things never change.
