Leading Canadian contemporary design publication Azure Magazine celebrated a new set of winners in their international AZ Awards, touted as the only open competition of its kind in Canada. Recently concluding its fifth edition, the AZ Awards welcomes designers, architects, firms, manufacturers, and students from various disciplines to send their best work for a chance to win and to show off their skills to an international audience.
Compared to 652 entries from 36 countries last year, competition leveled up with a total of 720 entries from 43 countries. Last month, the jury narrowed the list down to 66 finalists and the public also had a chance to participate by voting for their favorite finalists. At the end of the competition, the jury picked 19 winners, who received trophies designed by last year’s AZ Awards guest of honor, Karim Rashid.
