Furniture Designs for Museums and Libraries Are Available in Stores
Munich Lounge Chair Berlin architecture firm Sauerbruch Hutton designed this curvaceous chair for the reading room of its 2009 Brandhorst Museum in Munich. Launched commercially in January 2011, the chair is set to become available at New York retailer M2L in early September starting at $3,042.
Chairs designed by architects for high-profile commissions increasingly are for sale in stores. They are often pricy, but the appeal is the chance to bring a slice of cutting-edge international design into your home.
