Furniture Designs for Museums and Libraries Are Available in Stores
Munich Lounge Chair Berlin architecture firm Sauerbruch Hutton designed this curvaceous chair for the reading room of its 2009 Brandhorst Museum in Munich. Launched commercially in January 2011, the chair is set to become available at New York retailer M2L in early September starting at $3,042. The Brandhorst Museum in Munich Shanghay Chair Danish architect Bjarke Ingels helped design this chair for his Danish Pavilion at Shanghai Expo 2010. The chair, which requires assembly of four flatpack plywood strips, is available at A+R, in Venice, Calif., for $285.
