Apple has previously advertised the environmentally conscious features of Campus 2, most notably on the recently updated environmental section of its website, which states that the building will be "powered by 100 percent renewable energy sources" and rely on natural ventilation instead of temperature control during 75 percent of the year. Apple will also be installing more than 300 electric vehicle charging stations on the campus and planting more than 7,000 trees on the grounds. — theverge.com

Gonna be some sweaty programmers
Assuming that building an oversized office park in a car dominated environment can even be considered green, regardless of how many recycled tires go into it.
Funded by the sale of non-upgradable, barely repairable machines made by quasi-slave labor in China.
...that get taken apart by kids in India inhaling god knows what toxic compounds. But first, let me take a selfie!
Perhaps #Tesla will leap-frog Apple & install a Tesla-Coil, emitting wireless-energy to power the entire State of California, offering Apple's campus limit-less, green power, harvested from Earth's magnetosphere?
Always thought it was strange to make a circle shape that will be perceived from the ground as a regular office building shape. More marketing than reality.
Same goes for the energy hype.
Apple is in danger of becoming Microsoft at this point--Cook is more Bill Gates than Steve Jobs. Ive is probably just coasting at this point, angry he isn't running the show.
I picture a matrix-like interior with programmers plugged into pods, ready to get flushed and turned into food for others when their productivity goes down.
Speaking of flushed, how bout the new SF Warriors 'toilet" backlash.... And I'm calling backlash on the backlash. Why all of the fake rage about irrelevant viewpoints? We need new media to reflect architecture, methinks.
Darkman, have you seen the Charlie rose interview of Tim Cook?Perhaps you should. After all, Jobs wasnt an idiot - im sure he had a lot of choices from all the brilliant minds at apple.
