Famed architect is behind the plans for the futuristic new central building at the university in this German town. With its silver-colored, jagged facade, the building is looking to generate buzz. Is Libeskind the Zaha Hadid semi-hard?Spiegel
My god, its horrifying. Is that really what prelim. renders coming from Liebeskind look like*? Are we still kidding ourselves about architecture not being more about the name than the product?
*ok the article has more developed ones, though it does not help the design to see them...
Wow, this looks like mediocre student work. It would appear that it was designed a few years ago, so maybe it was less designedly quotidian back then. But therein lies the problem with the fetishization of a syntax and the lunacy of computer generated spatial mayhem. Just because you can do something Danny (and make a "pretty" picture of it) doesn't necessarily mean that you should.
Really though, if you were to submit this in one of the more progressive "Design" oriented schools... you'd get what - B... B-?
I really love his work.
Perfection. I would not change the slightest angle. Danny is just like Natalie in the Black Swan. He thinks with his body.
Wow!!! Soooo good.
Holy god is this good.
I truly love it to death.
Master work.

actually i wasn't sure for a second if the second image in the gallery slide-show was even a render.
Looks like someone is desperately running out of ideas..
it's been interesting to see his work become more and more conservative since the financial district plan was dismantled.
this latest one seems unapologetic about its banal interior.
To be fair, how is this any different from Zaha and Gehry? You've seen one, you've seen them all.
