White Horse village in Wuxi county, western China, is a symbol of China's economic revolution. In just four years the village has been transformed. Where subsistence farmers once made a living on tiny plots a city now stands.

I've visited Shanghai last Summer. When I took a trip to the periphery of Shanghai to spot the new Chinese suburbia there was one thing I noticed, when you leave Central Shanghai to the periphery there is a sign of transcendence into the outskirts. It is lots and lots of new Construction. Guess where gentrification is heading? The farms and villages.
please note, the midst in the picture is not fog. it's pollution. just so you know.
@bigness yeah this photo might be a little misleading. other one in the slideshow show that White Horse village is in a little sort of low lying valley so I imagine fog is typical.
