MY Studio are floating 100 glowing orbs into the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia and they want your help to execute the invasion. Details inside.
MY Studio / Höweler + Yoon Architecture are looking for volunteers to assist with the installation of an interactive lighting installation on the banks of the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. The project, called "Light Drift", will be installed between October 8-18th, between the Market Street and Chestnut Street bridges. The project involves 100 PETG orbs that are both on land and in the water. Sensors on the land orbs use RFID technology to control the lighting behavior of the water orbs. HYS/MYS is looking for volunteers to install, monitor, and de-install the piece. Enthusiasm required. Swimming skills or canoe/kayak skills a plus.
