Wildwood School

The project renovated approximately 12,000 SF of the existing 54,000 SF Type V building which encompasses the middle and upper school campus. The existing building is a wood frame and bow truss structure. The renovation provided structural alterations, program changes and implemented applicable code corrections triggered by the work. This included minor upgrades to building systems, alteration of fire and life safety systems and interior renovations.

The program changes for the interior development of the space included conference rooms, science laboratories, relocation of the school's faculty and staff lounge to the upper floor as well as converting the existing theater space to a multi-purpose room with added telescopic seating. This required a structural retrofit of the wooden framing on the ground floor to support the added load of the telescopic seating going in the newly renovated theater space.
