My role was project manager in charge of both exterior and interior architecture, managing upto 15 people including satallite office of interior team, inhouse architectural designer/ production and lighting designers Steelman Partners was responsible for master planning, architecture and interior architecture.

Functional solutions:
The shape of the plan is rather plain, therefore the elevation design is the key to make the building stand out, appealing to the visitors.
The roof has very complicated geometry; however, there was no curve in making the roof, modeling of roof was done in subtraction. In order to achieve the no-parapet effect, double roofing systems - Pohl rainscreen panel system over Johns Manville roof system was selected. Metal panel finish was stopped at three meters off the perimeter of the roof outline where the roof is relatively flat. Some of the cones on the roof were made to pseudo-skylights to work with interior retail promenade design.
The plan has a lot of sharp angled spaces from the sloping roof design. I reworked the plans to have such dead spaces serve as storage and maintenance rooms for the backlit exterior walls without much influence on the FOH space design.
Coordinating with oversea civil engineer, I resolved the grading issue to accommodate BOH delivery, bus parking and exterior circulation.
Building code solutions:
Couple of the exit stairs was not able to exit to exterior. Underground tunnels were made to enable the transfer between the stairs so the casino space was uninterrupted.
