This Kahala home, built in the 1930s by the well-admired architect Claude Albon Stiehl, was a combination of restoration and renovation. Over the years, this home has seen changes and various updating projects. In order to restore some of the original character that had been lost over the last 80 years, we approached this project with the original look of the home in mind. With this renovation, we respectfully brought back some of the original luster of the house, while adding a large open-air family room wing within the garden. The major portions of renovation work included enlarging the kitchen and making it a centerpiece for the interior living and dining room as well as the outdoor family room.
