The Four Points by Sheraton Rua Al Madinah hotel project envisions a total of 782 contemporary rooms and apartments, complemented by two all-day dining establishments, extensive meeting facilities, and a fully equipped fitness center. Beyond its exceptional offerings, this project represents a pioneering initiative, ushering in an inclusive and sustainable vision for Madinah, a city that attracts visitors from around the globe, each bringing with them a rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and lifestyles. To actively address sustainability, energy model calculations have led to the transformation of traditional Mashrabiya elements into a cutting-edge smart shading system. This innovative approach not only reduces thermal impact but also effectively lowers energy costs and minimizes the carbon footprint, fostering a more environmentally conscious hospitality experience.
In my role as the project lead for this hotel design team, I've maintained an unwavering commitment to sustainability and energy carbon footprint control, making it the foremost priority in our design approach. The seamless coordination between facade detail design and energy model analysis has been a central focus, ensuring that this project stands not only as a benchmark for sustainable design in Madinah but also as an educational opportunity for the local community and visitors alike. Our aim is to set a new standard in eco-friendly hospitality while simultaneously serving as an inspiration and knowledge-sharing platform for all those connected to this vibrant neighborhood.
