To generate site condition variations I created a system using wire and sponge. One four inch piece of wire is used to penetrate voids in the sponge and reconnected to create varying levels of compression and distortion in the sponge. Each of these studies were then aggragated in a dense group, creating a singular condition. I ultimatley painted the sponges to create visual uniformity and accentuate the deformations, and tested them in a larger field condition that allowed for
operability to generate different combinations of potential site conditions.
