Ottinger Architects specializes in urban in-fill projects of various scales throughout the Los Angeles region. Our primary passion is for mixed-use market rate and affordable housing projects, and we have several exciting large-scale, high-rise projects under development. We have an immediate opening for a Senior Project Manager with 15+ years of experience who possess strong design and technical skills, and the ability to guide project teams.

The ideal candidate can effectively work both collaboratively and independently, manage fast-paced deadlines while incorporating client and city feedback, and produce high-quality design and production drawings. We are seeking a highly motivated, conscientious and detail-oriented person with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our team.

 Position requirements:

  • Strong design and technical skills with a passion for urban design and creative housing solutions
  • Experience from concept design to drawing production
  • Experience managing project schedules and meeting deadlines
  • Experience managing a team for successful completion of project milestones
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work
  • Experience navigating complex zoning requirements
  • Working knowledge of type I, high-rise building construction
  • Strong understanding of the building code and accessibility requirements
  • Ability to coordinate consultant drawings and systems
  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • Licensed or on path to license required
  • 15+ years of post-graduate experience working in architecture; affordable housing and mixed-use residential experience a plus
  • Minimum of 3-years of Revit experience
  • Interest in sustainable design approaches
