Shigeru Ban Architects (SBA) is a critically acclaimed global practice with offices based in Tokyo, Paris, and New York. With over 150 projects constructed across 6 continents, SBA is a diverse and collaborative team which produces a broad range of ambitious work including commercial, residential, civic, hospitality, exhibit and cultural projects.

SBA America is seeking an Office Manager and Marketing Assistant to support our New York based team.  This team member will work closely with partners and senior staff to support ongoing office operations, pursue new project opportunities and implement public communications plans.

Qualifications and additional requirements include:

  • Demonstrated organizational skill and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
  • Graphic design proficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.Arch)
  • 1-5 years of relevant professional office experience
  • Software Proficiency Requirements: Microsoft Office Suite, including Powerpoint. Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
  • Background and interest in the operation of a design practice

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage day to day office operations
  • Coordinate with Vendors, IT Service Providers and Building Management
  • Coordinate purchasing of supplies
  • Coordinate office events
  • Support business development and public relations efforts
  • Write and edit content for proposals and other public communications
  • Coordinate project award submittals
  • Support social media and other outreach
  • Develop presentation graphics with senior staff

This position is full-time and includes benefits.  We seek to fill this position during January / February 2022. To support our schedule, qualified candidates must currently be available for interviews in New York City (During COVID-19 interviews may be via video conference).
