A+I, an award-winning strategy-led architecture and design agency, is looking for a best-in-class Architectural Visualist. We believe deeply that great design depends on the collaborative output of our teams. As a key supporter of both of Project and Business Development teams, you will work closely with fellow team members, not only other architects, but also interior designers, strategists, and brand and graphic designers.  Through your strong design and communication skills, you will take a large part in delivering meaningful, beautiful, integrated projects through well-managed processes and communication.

You will create impact by:

  • Embracing project goals and concepts and helping develop design that supports them.
  • Providing creative initiation of design ideas, both independently and with teams.
  • Offering and soliciting constructive and clear critical design feedback.
  • Communicating complex ideas with clarity: visually, verbally, and graphically.
  • Being passionate about design and having a point of view, while fostering design collaboration within your team and with office leadership.
  • Caring as much about the culture and people you work with as the project.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a design office or visualization studio.
  • Advanced knowledge in 3ds Max, Vray, and Photoshop
  • Proficient in Rhino or Sketchup, Revit, and Enscape
  • An interest in exploiting emerging technologies for more efficient on effective presentations
  • The ability to take a project from start to finish.  This includes lighting, texturing and post production work.
  • An obsession with the quality of imagery, a desire to constantly learn, and the motivation to make it happen.
  • An ability to match the proper output to the particular schedule and team / client expectations.
  • Currently living in NYC area
  • Excellent English language communication and client facing skills
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States, without need for employee sponsorship

Responsibilities:

  • Create typically highly refined, high definition renderings for a range of applications. This includes everything from client presentations to publications.
  • Occasionally work with design teams to create and execute successful projects, as a designer and not just a renderer.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a design office or visualization studio.
  • Advanced knowledge in 3ds Max, Vray, and Photoshop
  • Proficient in Rhino or Sketchup, Revit, and Enscape
